Practice Manager
joined PHP as practice manager in May 2017 and haven’t looked back! I love my role and the incredible team at PHP. My favorite dog breed is a Border terrier (closely followed by springer spaniels). I love the hardiness and energy of them and how easy they are to have around. We walk miles and miles around Dorset as well as mini adventures further afield. I also have two cats at home of no particular breed!

I have been a small animal vet since 2002 and can honestly say that I love my job! I discovered the delights of Dorset shortly after qualifying I don’t think I will ever leave. I joined the PHP team in 2023 and have really enjoyed persuing my interests in internal medicine, pain management and accupuncture here. Outside of work my two children, dog, chickens and nine sheep keep me very busy. In any spare time I have I love playing football with my children and running up the Lulworth Hills.

I qualified from Onderstepoort in South Africa in 2015 and spent one year working in the local communities as part of a government outreach program. When this conluded I moved to the UK with my wife and have worked in small animal practice ever since, finally arriving at PHP in 2021. I have an interest in cardiology and ultrasound imaging. I have one dog, a mixed breed called Hiccup, who loves long walks on the heath and sleeping in front of the fire.

I started saying I was going to be a vet from the age of 5 and never stopped! I graduated from the RVC in 2007 and spent the first 10years of my career treating horses and the odd cow. After a career break to have my children I decided to change to treating smaller animals, joining PHP in 2021 and havent looked back. Outside of work I am kept busy with my two young boys, border terriers and various small pets, and if I get any spare time I like to run (with the dogs) in the countryside (but not very fast).

I'm the newest vet to join the PHP team having only started here in March 2025. I graduated in 2022 and moved to the Highlands to begin my career. I spent a year in equine practice before switching to small animal practice. At work I have a keen interest in exotic animals and wildlife, and have spent time working in South Africa doing conservation projects. Outside of work, I volunteer with the air cadets. We support young people in developing key life skills and their pursuit of specific interests such as gliding and flying, a range of different sports, space studies.
